Folks,
I have just bought a '83 Honda CX650 and in the plan of building a Cafe racer.
I am not very good at bike mechanic and I also don't have my own workshop.
Well, that's not an issue, I will send my bike to a motorcycle workshop and they will do as per my design and requirements.
My hardest parts are design and buying parts.
I have searched around and already figured some input to my project.

First thing firs, here is my bike (photo took by the previous owner, it has not been delivered to me yet):

Well, and down here could be several questions need to ask for your idea and experiences.

1. SUSPENSION

I 'd like the way of cafe racer with modern front and rear shocks.
The front should be nice with the Up side down forks and the rear with cylinder:

Just like that. And I prefer to buy the used forks as the budget concern.

So anyone please tell me the what bike is that I could take the front forks from? What is (range) length of the front forks could be fit to my CX650?

Ah, the front break I can consider later.
Thanks.

Well, look like not many people like CX... !? :'(

Got front forks from a friend in Maryland.

Let's see how they match together:

Working on my CX650 and found my Right plug wire has been changed by previous owner with the different one:

while the Left engine is still with the a good and correct plug wire:

So, want to buy a good plug wire to replace my Right one. Anyone has, please send me pic and price.

Thank you.

Tires are firestones. Look great and terrible for real-world use, don't do it.

As for the plug wires you can use just about any generic plug wire.

Thanks Rich.
I decided to use the current tires for a while and not to think of Firestone.
And for the plugwire, I would like to have the square rubber on top of the plug as the original one, it fits to the engine head cover. However, I have bought one already from a CX500 forum inmate.

viet im watching your killer build and maybe some more modern looking tires would go good with the way your bike is set up
