Shameless vote plea
« on: Feb 28, 2012, 19:57:32 »
I have a future family member that's made it to the American Idol top 24. Chase Likens is a country singer from a small town in West Virginia. He is my nephew's future brother in-law. The guy is a 110% a class act and I'm proud to say i know him. I've never really watched the show until now. To be honest I really don't care too much for it but gotta give my homie support.
If you like country give him a listen. They compete tonight and if you like what you hear give him a vote. I know he'll appreciate it. I believe voting takes place after the show concludes this evening.

He made it to the Hollyweird round last year. This was an interview he did for his schools news/talk show thing.

Hometown boy class act. This is another interview from last year

Thanks fellas Much appreciated!!!!! I totally agree about the show. I don't watch much TV at all, let alone this kind of stuff. Just watchin to support my boy.
I'll definitely invite him to our next DTT get together. Will be great to jam around the camp fire. Anyhow, I'll post a link to vote on line as soon as voting opens after the show. I believe you can vote up to 10x

While I can't watch or listen to anything at work, I did pass the word along to the Mrs.

A little bit of a warning about voting using facebook. It will automatically switch your facebook page to a timeline account. It doesn't give you a choice >:( . I  don't do facebook but sometimes I use my wife's account. She doesn't like timeline so I ditched that idea.

I think the boy did us proud tonight. So, I really appreciate everyone taking time to listen to Chase and for those inclined to vote, I give you a big heart felt thank you!
I think there is some real talent in the show (and some I care nothing for). I really dig the Phil Phillips guy (Think Dave Mathews) I voted 19x for Chase. I saved one for Phillips.
And listen to me, here I am, on-line talking about American Idol. What's this world coming too? God SAve us all :D

Ha! That settles it, your Willow privileges have been revoked. Von and myself will be down next week while your new "favorite" show is on and load it up without your knowledge.

So.... you going to start hosting American Idol viewing parties? ;)

Tried calling the voting phone number with my Google phone thingy but it wasn't working for me.

hahaha. Hell I've got connections. Maybe we can throw a big AI house Jam ;D

Thanks for trying to vote though. I'm sure lines were tied up with all the county folk voting for my boy ;D

But man seriously, as much as I hate the show and what it stands for, I'm hoping the teenie bopper voters of the past are now grown up because some of these cats can sing. I mean just listen to this:
(I'll never look at my coffee/smoothie maker person the same ;D )

Guess I probably won the looser award for being the first person with the most American Idol video post on DTT :o :o :o
