Here's my little write up: I bought this bike about 5 years ago and it was in pretty poor shape cosmetically. After stripping it down to the frame to clean up any rust and corrosion, I pretty much took it back to stock. Of course, that didn't last too long........Here's a little run down of what has been changed:

Hammer Endurance seat from Airtech                   Gas tank from a GS450 (w/ Pingel petcock)
Tail light from a Hodaka                                        Custom made airbox from ABS plastic
VM34's to replace the stock CV's                           Mac exhaust for a GS450 - modded to suit
Supertrapp muffler                                                18" wheels laced up front and rear w/ Avon's
GSXR750 master cylinder                                      Dual calipers from a GS650
Fiberglass fender and headlight from RocCity       Acewell speedo and tach
GS650 fairing from Airtech                                    Tarozzi low rise clip ons
rearset mounts by Homagemotoworks                And I'm sure there's plenty more I'm forgetting about....

Sorry in advance for my poor photography skills......Here's a pic of what I started with compared to where it ended up:

I like it,
so i figured i should talk a little about the build..
well first, i picked the this rd125 at the barber vintage festival for $250 bucks and pushed it a mile back to the car with a locked up front brake. i wasn't going to go as crazy as i did when i originally started the build but per the usual i decided to spend about 40 more hours than intended and a bunch more money.
The tank was originally a yamaha 80 tank that i extended using sheet metal and is usable with gas til about 4 inches from the end where the battery and electronics are housed.  with the frame i took all the un-needed tabs and brackets off and added the trellis rearsets and high rear loop to fit the tail section and gave plenty of clearance. the wheels i wasn't originally going to change (just clean up), but i found the excel hoops and R5 front hub and couldn't not build them up.
As for the motor, i beefed up the clutch, cleaned up the top end and cylinders, got rid of casting marks on exhaust, modded reed blocks to fit ds7 mikuni 28mm carbs, and made sure eveything was working properly.  To help the motor breath on the exit, i took some french expansion chambers and hacked them up, added spring mounted header that tuck closer to the motor, and build serviceable expansion chamber that fit a bit closer to the swing arm.
The front body work was build by airtech and the windscreen is from gustaverson. the seat is one of my "costello" tail sections.
here are some build pics

that's

Congrats BrandEN! Definitely a well deserved winner.

Funny how the voting never turns out like you think it will isn't it? Going by the comments in this thread Rich should be a clear winner, but didn't turn out that way... oh well, still a winner in my book Rich! :D
