if its been out of the system for more that 8 years, its gone, and tecnically, you "should" be able to get a title.
although, i dont like dealing with that, so i never buy no title bikes. but if you dont mind the trouble then im sure "something" can be done.... as long as its not stolen lol

Why don't you stop being such an elitist fucking prick, alpha? All you fucking assholes who have been in the motorcycle game a long time think you're all such hot shit and all us newbies trying to learn are just jumping on the band wagon. There was a time when you guys didn't know shit either, including title issues. It's like you're rolling your eyes at a 5th grader for not knowing advanced algebra yet. I'm not being a baby, I'm just really over reading a bunch of mean spirited shit on a forum where people are supposed to help and support each other. Anyway, nice ponytail and hat....

i honestly dont think anyone was attacking,... the internet just has a messed up way of eliminating tone, and screwing up context.
but then again, im a peaceful soul lol.

Wow dude... Really? Act like a grownup. Nobody was attacking. You asked a question, and you got an answer. Whether it was because you didnt like the answer or what, I dont know... But youre copping a real attitude for no reason. Grow a thicker skin man. The world isnt full of super happy rainbows and candy waterfalls. Sorry.
Now, that said...
You need to determine what the title laws are in your state. If you can legally register the bike in your name, thats a great deal. Not exactly a "beginners" bike, but its a standard, super reliable, run of the mill Honda. Can be made into a real mover (its pretty quick in stock trim) but you really need to lose a bunch of weight from the 1/4 tonner and upgrade the suspension to get the full effect of the 750ccs.

call the guy, get the vin, call or go to dmv, be nice, smile, and ask the lady to run the vin of your possible purchase. if its out of the system, then she can help you figure out how to get a replacement title. well if shes nice. lol.
and yeah, not everyone is nice. just ignore the comments you dont like dude, i mean, ther are coming from someone you dont even know from somewhere youve never been to or heard of... not worth trippin about it IMO.
