Can anyone identify these yamaha paint colors?

Been Around the Block
I'm struggling to find a definitive answer to what is Yamaha Brandy Red and what is Ruby Red.


I thought this was brandy red on this 74', but a question was raised on eBay and I can't figure it out now.

On the 73' the red looks brighter which I thought was the Ruby Red.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
I know in '78 they had macho maroon. Not sure what it was called earlier.
 
Found this on another forum so it seems that I had it backwards. I just don't understand why a brandy red would be brighter than ruby red. It's messing with my brain

I think earlier it was "Baboon Ass Red". Or that may have been a honda color. I forget.
 
Your local Yamaha dealer should be able to give you all the paint codes you would need to find the hue youre after.
 
Ahhh thats the same color as my rd was when i bought it. call it what ever you want it is fucking purple in person, thank god paint stripper dont care how gay a color is.

00A8 is the code for the purple, but yamaha calls it ruby red metallic its a RD only 1974 only color

Look on the bright side its still faster than any cb
