MAY 2012 DO THE TON BIKE OF THE MONTH - NOMINATIONS
« on: Apr 22, 2012, 11:30:35 »
Here are the Nomination Rules:

1. Nominate one of our members' bikes for Bike of the Month - include up to 3 flattering pictures of the bike in question.  This is an opportunity to recognize someone who's bike has inspired you.  So please don't nominate your own bike - make sure you have a well detailed build thread, post up in the Show n Shine area etc. and if enough people like your bike, someone will nominate it and maybe you'll see it as our banner in an upcoming month!

The Nomination MUST MUST MUST MUST be accompanied by the member's User Name, a link to the thread where their bike is best described (Build thread, Show n Shine etc.) and a PHOTO of the bike in question.

2. Someone seconds the nomination (please only second one nomination)

3. Member should accept the nomination

4. Bike must be in running roadworthy condition - no basket cases - finish your bikes!

5. If a bike has been nominated in the previous month it should not be included in the current month's contest.  Skip a month and nominate in a subsequent month.

6. Bikes that have won in prior contests should not be included unless they have been modified significantly.

We will accept nominations for a few days till we have a good selection to a limit of 5 bikes per contest.

A poll will be set up and voting will take place for a week or so depending on timing.  Whoever ends the voting period with the most votes wins :)

Ultimately the voters will decide!

As a reward, we will use a picture of the winner's bike on the site banner for the following month.

I nominate Noddy78's super amazing "CB350 Steampunk Frankenstein Cafe Thing called Isabel" Noddy has successfully tuned his flux capacitor to 1.21 gigawats and gone back to a time dripping with class and ingenuity to combine the perfect assortment of odds and ends and things that.. shouldn’t fit into an incredible copper clad, chesterfield cushioned, sumptuous steampunk creation. Boasting buckets of brass from the past and tasty detials like 1920's typewriter keys the level of this build has left me speechless. I went through 3 pairs of pants before I was done looking at his finished build and had to stop the neighbor girl from dry humping my computer monitor after she saw the light from there with glistening through the window from across the street. Equal to the stunning bike is the impeccable photography. Noddy deserves Bike of the month.. Hands Down... Do the right thing! I know I wouldn’t want to piss off what seems to be a mad scientist at the top of his game.

Here is the thread, be warned, grab a lab coat, a change of pants and enjoy.

Well I would like to nominate Ringo's CB550 Gulf cafe racer.
It's a totally killer bike and i think he deserves it.
Four wheels move the body,
But two wheels move the soul.

I don't need special paint and chrome
for my bike, i know how big my cock is.

I'll say it before somebody else does: Ringo was nominated and won BOTM before (and rightfully so).

While I would love to see his bike on the banner again, I think waiting until he is finished with the smaller details only seems fitting.

It would be impossible to choose between 'the Gulf' and 'Isabel' - two amazing bikes that couldn't be more different!

DTT sure caters to a broad spectrum of builders

Ok time to nominate Hoosier Daddy's Overkill

I love this bike, awesome job on a GS and that paint turned out spectacularly... I love the minimalism without being impractical to ride...

isabel is begging for it like a drunk fat girl at prom...i'll triple or quadruple nominate that crazy awesome build.  turned out like a dream.
so a dolphin is driving and his car breaks down...he takes it to a mechanic...the mechanic says its going to be a few hours if he wants to wander around the town...upon his return, the mechanic says "looks like you blew a seal" to which the dolphin replies: "no sir, it was a walrus"
