Cafe Racer TV season 3 review...Gimme your opinion!

We had a huge debate about season two's content/structure and unfortunately they didn't listen.  I think to a person none of liked the format that still just jumps around and has little in the way of continuity.   I've been in network TV for over 20 years and a show has to evolve, this one isn't and it needs to.

It's motorcycle content tv I love it. If i have to watch a couple douche bags hunt for a house again i will kill myself. Big budget builds sure but they are awesome to gawk at. Im gonna pour a rum beverage and tune in now.

I was initially thrilled with the show. Lets face it, not alot of cafe exposure out there, initially. However, I have grown less interested with it, with each passing episode. The format sucks, and its the same shit, in spite of cafe community members offering opinions and ideas.

It's a nice companion to cafe racer mag in the 'godawful' category... imo :)

Looks like we all agree the show is too cut up/choppy, hopefully they'll be smart and change that.  When I first saw it, I was like YES!!!  More tv like this, and I immediately bought the magazine, then got a subscription.  I definetely don't want the show to go away, but it does still need some tweaking.  Anyone watch Wheeler Dealers?  I'd love to see an offshoot program of Cafe Racer in that format!

I like watching but like most of you here, it's choppy and filled with pumping itself every commercial break.  That drives me nuts and wastes my time.  There should be more real content in a show.  I wanna see more grease, oil and busted knuckles.  And what the F#$% is up with the street art kid running across two different shows????  Who gives a rats ass if he rides a motorcycle to do it?  It's like they are pandering to some envisioned pansy hipster crowd....

Indeed!

Loved the segment on the Honda race bike build, need more of that on the show.  I was looking forward to the T500 build after seeing the trailer.... but come on, a wooden seat and ancient fire extinguisher for an oil tank!

I also was watching intentley on the CB350 Build, I'm still wondering how they got 20 extra HP outta that engine. Now that would have been helpful to know. The real funny thing is that Jerry was my old parts guy for my VFR700 years back, that was a surprise to see him on the tube!

I could care less about a female singer and her ride, along with a street tagger and his ride. what the heck does it have to do about a build?? They seem to be veering off abit.  It would be nice to see a stronger view on what goes into a build by "one" builder per show, giving better detail on the build. Yes it's an Entertainment Show,  but what target audience are they trying to reach? I would think the common man garage builder. This is my opionion, no electronic devices were harmed in the making of this post.

The show is supposed to be about "lifestyle" as well as builds.  Honestly the show would could be improved so easily by just following the build process in a linear fashion.  I don't have an issue with the show doing the "lifestyle" segments but lets face it what constitutes the Cafe Lifestyle to one of us will be considered poseur to another.  Also lets not forget that Mike is driving the content of this show and what he believes the Cafe Lifestyle to be is what we are going to see.

Considering the comments put forth here are nearly identical to the comments made about season 2 it's obvious that the producers didn't take the criticism to heart.

Of all the things about J&Bs Zook build that bother me the most are the pipes. We can argue the aesthetics all day but two stroke pipe need to functional first.

with two weeks of tuning a shop should be embarrassed to still not have a bike that even runs.
The show is one joke after another.

And all this BS about doing the ton, a stock t500 will.

This really was pointless. I love street art and music, but two shows for each segment. really? Start a show about street and music if you want to do that. I am new to motorcycles. I started out on a Genuine Buddy 125 I bought to commute to work and save some gas, but realized I loved two wheels and a motor so much I needed a bigger bike and bought a Triumph Bonneville T-100. I love it and I have loved watching this show. It got me through another Minnesota winter. Season 1 was the best IMHO. It made me want to buy a old bike and fix it up which I plan to do. Getting my hands dirty learning to build a bike.

I wanted to see more builds like the artist guy building a bike in his garage from old salvaged parts, because that will be me. Lifestyle could be more about guys getting out and riding together and stuff like that.

Agree. Between the J&B build and then the piece on the girl singer left me feeling cheated. This whole season was really just crap. I seriously don't know if I'm gonna continue watching in the new season. After all, what's the point?
