1979 GS 550 Cafeish

Here she is when I first got her.

1979 GS 550 E, with 26,000 miles. Bike hadn't run since 2000, after cleaning the carbs in my ultrasonic cleaner, replacing the intake boots, flushing the brake fluid + lines, oil change, throttle cables, couple of other things I was ready to get started.

Fixing the Gas Tank <3 Shaving the Emblems+ Decals

Fitting the new seat

Blacked out the headlamp, fixed the tank, mounted the seat.

How the seat is mounted with the factory hinges and lock.

Cleaneth thy carbs, ultrasonic dipped, and synced

Someone say paint?

Assembled

New turns + New Helmet

This is how she sits now. I currently have planned for her to change out the wheels for Spokes, and I'd like to slap a slip on Muffler on the bike.

I'm thinking about wrapping the header pipes with tan wrap, and getting chrome 12inch shortys.
