Spoked with fat tyre vs Comstar with skinny

Five Miles Out:
Well my cx500 is on the way, and I'm going to get it blue slipped before I start butchering it. I need new tires to pass inspection, and so it got me thinking maybe I'll ditch the 18in and 19in comstars for a 16in rear and 18 front spoked wheel set.

So my first question, is it worth ditching the stock wheels for spoked ones for the "look".

Second question is if I put a 4.5 or 5.0 tyre on a 16 in rim, what will performance be like with such a wide fat tyre?

Spokes beat comstars any day.  Also fat tires are awful IMHO.

I would say spokes, what wheels are u gonna use if u go that route? Early Goldwing or something?

16" rear will look awful IMO.
I say go to spokes but it's not cheap

Spokes for the look, mags/comstars for the lack of constant maintenance.
