Need help in new Orleans

(1/1)

CntDrv55:
Hello all,

Been awhile since I've been on the forum but I've been deployed in Afghanistan since 2010 with little to no Internet. I'm leaving again at the end of the month for another deployment. Long story short I need some help finding a shop or person(s) that can help me get my bike back together and running in the new Orleans area.

I bought the bike, an 82 cb750f with the hopes of turning it into a modernish cafe racer. I bought a busa front fork and triple tree with clip ons front wheel and an sv650 rear wheel (identical to the front ) nitrogen rear shocks and mukuni carbs. However my dreams and reality soon came to clash and I realized that there was noway I would ever be able to finish it by myself. Sooooo since I have been gone for so long I don't have any contacts with any bike mechanics or fabricators.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Gary

PAGING REDBIRD TO THE WHITE COURTESY PHONE....PAGING MR. REDBIRD

Seriously though, PM Redbird. He has a pretty good line on what's available in NO. ;)

Check out FX Motorsports. Tom is great at this sort of thing! He helped me when I hit a dead end with my rd350. I am actually working on an old '71 cb350 there currently.

We had a conversation through PM. I mentioned FX to him back then. Not sure what the outcome was though.
