Cafe Racer Days
« on: May 27, 2012, 15:59:10 »
Cafe Racer Magazine France held the first Cafe Racer Days event in Dieppe at the end of April, never got there myself, but have heard lot's of good feedback, and seen some nice pics on youtube. Jim Redman, Paul Smart and Dave Hailwood were there, the usual things at a rally were on offer, including the chance to run wot yer brung. If anyone from DTT is  interested in attending next year, let me know and I'll co-ordinate from this side, it's about three hours from Calais or you can sail direct to Dieppe from Newhaven.

It's been far to long since I spent any prime time in France !

yeah keep the info coming, a year to put something together  :-\ not a problem. I'll also put the show stand in the back of the van and we'll have a DTT parking area (well about 6 bikes worth) haha  8)

Ill keep you posted if I get any more info. Most French bike rallies differ slightly from the way we do it in the UK, often the entry price includes all your meals, everyone sits down together, much more civilized than wandering around chomping on a burger, although you can opt out if you wish. If folks would prefer not to camp, there are plenty of good hotels and there is a biker only campsite on the outskirts which has wooden lodges. There should be a write up in the next edition of Cafe Racer France, I think their website is www.cafe-racer.fr if any one wants to take a look.

I've tried several times to take out a subscription to the Cafe Racer mag, but for some reason the format won't accept payment ??

I've got a few copies I've bought at UK shows - but to be honest I think the magazine seller is related to Dick Turpin.

I have a Pig Roast event at my place in Saxony every Summer - open house, but it's a bit far for a DTT run out ! I get loads of my German pals turn up - usually about 15-20.

Iv'e Looked at their delivery rates and they don't seem to deliver abroad, maybe this is the problem? as they accept Visa and PayPal, the pig roast sounds great, hope you get some good riding weather. If the Dieppe meet pans out I'll bring some old copies for you and the chaps.
