Geez, we have 1 bike night at the local playground and of course Mentat has to take a picture of it.......... :D

Back to business. I've been looking at the map and from Pittsburgh to Moody, AL is almost 13 hours. Little too much for a straight shot on a motorcycle, so the halfway point is around Marion and Abingdon, Virginia.

But.......and this is just an idea........how about the group initially meets up at our fellow DTT members place in Kingwood, WV? It's kinda on the way, and might be easier for some to meet up there.
I'm on hiatus - pm's are linked to email. So message me if you need something.

Rich, Cafe Redneck is in Tennessee.  He's just over 8 hours from Pittsburgh.  Dunno if that changes your plans.

Yeah, I noticed that too. But 8 hours on Google maps doesn't take into account for all the extra stops needed on a motorcycle. That's one of the reasons I would like to leave at bright o'clock from West Virginia. We would start out outside of PA, and most of the group could possibly get to WV the night before (I'm hoping, anyways).

Ha.  I really want to make it now.  I look at mapquest times and think 8 hours is more like 6.  But I imagine in a group it adds time.  I wont know if I can go until Sept or so.

I posted it in the main Barber thread but I'll say it again here:

I'm in Rome, GA which is a couple of hours east of Barber. If I'm along anyone's route and they need a place to crash for the night or something just let me know. I think xulf13 is gonna be stopping in on his way from NC.

Also, I have a pickup truck and plenty of tools so if someone breaks down close to me and needs some assistance I'm more than willing to help. Someone just shoot me a PM before y'all set out so you can have my phone number.

Pretty cool of ya Jon. I believe we will be on Rt59 in Georgia for about...........20 minutes though (between Chattanooga and Birmingham). If you'd like, pm me your cell number. Maybe we could plan on meeting up around Gadsen (depending which route you take of course).

Likewise Swaps. It was a great experience last year, and I expect it to only get better.

Rich,
What day and time do you think you will pass thru Georgia on Rt 59? I should be arriving at Johns Thursday night. I was planning on heading out from his house Friday Morning.
