CB350 tire sizing question.

miikeflynn:
Hey guys and gals, new to the forum so let me just say a quick hello. Just got my first bike. It's a '72 Honda CB350 twin. really excited to be riding and working on her.

The first thing I need to do is change the tires. the sidewalls have some weather cracking so they've got to go.

I love the look of wider tires so i'm trying to figure out with will fit on my bike. I'm contemplating a 100/90/18 for the front and a 110/90/18 for the rear. (bike is completely stock by the way. I am willing to remove the front fender if needed.) I have searched and it seems like some people have put that size on and it worked out and some people seem to think that is too wide.

Will they fit or would I be better of going with 90/90/18 front and 100/90/18 rear?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Sonreir:
I would stick to stock widths unless you have a specific reason for going wider.

miikeflynn:
No real reason to use them other than aesthetics. I'm just trying to figure out if they will be too wide and rub anywhere.

Sonreir:
100/90 for the front and 110/90 for the rear should fit, if I remember correctly.  Just be aware that you're possibly making a trade in performance for looks.

miikeflynn:
What performance sacrifices would I be making? Pretty new to motorcycles, so I'm just starting to get a feel for things. Thanks for the help so far.
