Quick and cheap CB360 build.
« on: Aug 11, 2012, 02:05:40 »
Here's my 1 month CB360 build. Started in very nice shape. Paid $1800 and spent roughly $700 on parts and materials. It's a blast to ride. This was my first ever build. I've already started on a RD400 Scrambler project.
More photos to come.

Build List:
Clubman Bars with cables routed inside
Fork Gators
Rearsets
Headlight Ears
Lowered gauge mount
Shortened rear hoop
Rear Fender delete
Tail Light
Grips
Clutch Cable
Throttle Cable
Pipe wrap

Minty looking 360.... I'd be done with mine by now if I had started with something like that.

More of the RD400, please!

Where are you located? The black/gold scheme is rather rare here in the US.

I'm located in Edmonton, Alberta , Canada. I was planning on doing a complete restoration, but loved the look of the flat black aged paint. The guy I bought it off had bikes upon bikes and told me how rare the colour was since flat black was not popular in the 70s. Every seems to have painted over it. I want it to look as mean as possible. Considering making the wheels black. Just waiting on a seat and I will have more photos. Got it for $1500 with stock exhaust installed and RD pipes in a box. Put new fork seals, sprocket seal, clutch pushrod seal, removed the airbox, installed pods and chambers, put on motorcross handlebars. Might drill the brakes over the winter. Not too sure if I want to keep it or sell it.

Right on man. If you decide to sell it, I am sure you'll find a quick buyer.

That's the same pipes Brendon has on his 360.
It will run much better with about 10"~12" extra pipe and some sort of silencer (Bredon's does bout 105 mph since pipe was modded.)

Yeah, that's the plan. I just welded my 2-1 about a week ago. Trying to figure out where to route the pipe to not get hit by the rearsets. That and I can't decide which muffler to put on. I got a 2007 CBR600 pipe and muffler for really cheap after I had already bought a stainless steel cone muffler from DCC. Full tuck it just barely does 90MPH. Definitely needs some back pressure. Do you have a link to Brendons bike?

It's posted on my 360 blog/build, towards the end.
It's similar to mine but has black wheels and seat.
He posted a couple of short video's in thread
