You can not put a bike in that frame... I want to buy it as is for a coffee table! I would love to be able to throw my feet up on a piece of glass held up by that frame!!!! Awesome work Joe, as always you make it looks like it was manufactured by the original factory but only smoother and no markings.

I should send Joe one of the frames from the shed and see what kind of table he could make... maybe one that looks like a Dollar Sign and your initials! hahahaha

Brothers Casi and Habanero52 you guys are too funny! I was cracking up laughing when I read your posts today, I can see that table now with the dollar sign, initials, and gold plated! Hahahaha! Seriously though to be totally honest my Wife and I have been talking about building a few motorcycle themed tables for a while now and already have a lot of cool ideas so we should build you an awesome motorcycle coffee table!

Thank You Brother Green199, it really means a lot to everyone involved with this build that you like the frame! This is only the beginning of the frame work, we are adding a couple of new gussets in other places and have a cool rear guard that we are planning on incorporating into the frame as well so I hope that you will continue to enjoy the rest of the build!

I set the engine back in the frame as well as the swingarm, rear wheel, chain, etc. so that I could check the clearances for the new rear guard that I am building.

We had originally thought about building a one piece guard out of aluminum however I really want to mount the guard just inside the rear down tubes so that it is flush with the back of the rails when looking at the bike from the side, there is a cross bar connecting the two rear down tubes which would prevent me from mounting a one piece guard that way so we decided to build a two piece guard with the cross bar in between them which I think will look even nicer when everything is finished!

I started to play with design ideas and cut some templates out of cardboard so that we could see what the guards would look like. Here are a few photos of the basic design that I think we will be using, these pieces of cardboard are not the exact shape that I will be cutting out of aluminum and the aluminum pieces will sit flush with the back of the frame rails instead of how the cardboard is sitting however I wanted to post these photos to share the basic design with you all!

I really like this photo as it shows how you will not be able to see the guards from the side and how uniform the two new frame rails that I built are when looking at the frame from the side!
