Been Around the Block
This is sort of a "highlight reel" from my ongoing build thread over on the xs650.com forums.Thought some of this might be of interest to members here...

As the title suggests, I wasn't really trying to build a cafe; I was just chopping, building, and designing on the fly, letting the project find its own way. This is my very first bike, and my very first build. Thanks for looking!

I like it!!! How many teeth on your rear sprocket? It looks tiny... Might just be the front brake rotors tricking my eye though... What else have you got planned for it? Motor upgrades???

Front-end changes... stock 34mm forks swapped out for '76 TT500 triple clamps and '90 FZR600 legs...

XS/TX run a pretty small rear sprocket normally, around 34-36 tooth. That's a 34 in the pictures; I'm running a 32 now. very minimal bolt-on motor upgrades so far. Currently in the middle of mounting a new tank/seat/tail, and building a custom hub for a new rear wheel... whatever I can do to distract myself from draining my wallet on the inevitable hotrod engine. :)
