Good choice of bike these dohc hondas are fast becoming the bike of choice. Like the work done so far.

I just picked up an 82 CB750K. I'm going to watch your progress... I do have a couple of questions.

Did you fabricate your seat completely yourself? Who did the upholstery work? I'm going for a similar look.

I see you're capable of doing your own welding. Did you purchase the rear frame hoop, or fab it yourself?

Looks like a great project so far. Keep up the good work!

I did none of the fab work. I do not have the time, space, or tools to do so unfortunatly. I was the brains behind it. He did fab a seat pan. Thin gauge steel. I took that to an upholstery shop. They did what you see for $200. He also bought a tubing bender and fabbed the hoop and did all of that work himself. Odds and ends and then the major stuff you see cost me $500 with him.
The bike has since left his shop and we're tearing into the electrical and headlight/speedo area. Ill post pics soon.

"Don't tread on me"?

That snake decal is familiar to this Texan. I'm going a similar direction on mine, will be watching.

Yes sir. I liked it especially because its not identical to the Gadsden.

Cool man. I love small decals like that. You'll see paint on my tank after a few hundred miles... Not the most pressing task for a new builder like myself.

Have you encountered issues with the front brake? I have the single left caliper, solo piston Tokico brake and the replacement pistons have been discontinued. Apparently it's more common on the 79s than the 81-82 models.

So far so good.

Need to still paint some things, like the rear fender, frame, and rims. I'm going to either wrap the headers or paint them and paint the mufflers also. Was going to wait until all that was done to put the new tank on but I couldn't resist.
