Coast to Coast
The Spring Thaw is here! We are 48 hours away from go time in the Gorge and we couldn't be more excited, or busy. A couple of things:
1. If anyone of you need me, please call/text for anything I can help you guys with. As those returning from last year know, cell phone service is non existent near the cabin area but I am told the wifi has been upgraded from last year.
2. When you arrive, please see the posted signage at the bottom of the staircase. This will let you know where to go and where to sleep! Beds were assigned on a first come first serve basis, so please pay attention to where you are to avoid any confusion. Richard will be most pissed if his bed is once again missing this year.
3. Check in will be at 12:00 PM. We will arrive earlier with all the gear and food to unload. If at all possible, please show up around noon to help lug some stuff up the mile high staircase.
4. Directions. If anyone needs help getting to the camp site, please shoot me a message and I will get you a map & directions.
5. The tent garage will be a new addition this year. I will run juice and set up tents to store bikes under while they are being worked on. If you are able to bring a tool set up, please do so. I will be bringing down a couple boxes but it's not enough for multiple bikes.
6. THANK AMANDA. While talking to Kiley Last night, he made the statement that we are incredibly lucky for a bunch of drunk rejects to be held up by such functional and responsible women. Amanda took the week of from work to help me get ready and cook for everyone. She started cooking yesterday and it has been non stop in that kitchen! If this thing were left up to me, we would all be eating crackers and drinking beer inside the Nada Tunnel.
We are both really excited to be able to put on this event and share our weekend with you. The Do The Ton family is such an amazing group of people and I am lucky to call you all friends. Thanks for coming, ride safe, and enjoy the weekend!
