Back to planning again.. Finals are almost over so I'll be home in a couple weeks and get to start working on Susie again. Trying to decide on a few things to consider ordering before I get home, and was hoping for a bit of feedback.
1. Carburetor: I have a VM20 on her now, but have heard that the 26 is better for these motors, and also re-read this thread and saw someone post about running a 22. I remember back when I was putting my jets from 6sigma in the main jet I was using didn't want to screw in to the needle jet/holder and I busted the thread. This was before I knew there were metric/standard screws, and different pitches :
. I think they sent me jets for the OE Keihin. Anyways, I figure I need to pull the carb to check if the needle jet is ok or toast (I remember it being fine...), and if the main jet I want to run is secure.
2. Shocks: Still thinking about getting a set of SL shocks, but depending on how much I make this summer I might get a set of Hagons.
3. Wiring: I have the 350 stator, just need to order my connectors and go to town on building the sucker.
4. Need to integrate fender to the heat hump, and decide if I want to try to make it more tracker or something like a mini-superbike. IIRC the cowl I made is cool but not very "tracker."
5. I'm thinking about doing a port/polish on the intake and exhaust after I get it running well. I've heard that the issue on most of these old Hondas is the stock intake/exhaust port size.
6. Exhaust: The pipe I have right now is off a 100, which I thought would be fine. I might end up making a new pipe out of something slightly bigger and go low pipe instead of high pipe.
