So it looks like the old boy may be saved, eh?  I hope it works out.  Glad to see you are wrenching away.

Thanks Eric.  I might get down to the shop one more time today.  I think I can save the original Gl frame, motor and rear end at least.

Thanks, If you guys were closer I'd get you to help me block it and jack it on the table so I can pull the front end LOL. I will enlist a couple closer buddies to help with that though. I don't dare try it myself right now.

Glad to see you are back in to it mate.
Half an hour a day is still more than some people manage.

How is the head stock? I would imagine there might be some minor cracks in the weld.
I'm not sure, but don't ask Brodie.

Way to many build and half done projects to list here.

No cracks at all. When I get all the old front end off I will do a real close inspection but there is no signs it is compromised. I will remove the paint to be sure. These things were overbuilt when new, If there is even a slight chance it isn't straight I have the new frame to use so I won't risk anything safety wise. It will just cost me some money to register the new frame and I don't want to spend it if I don't have to, but will if needed.

Also I'll get some pics up tonight after my buddies come by and help me block up the bike to pull the front and rear apart.

Wtf my other post didn't take.  I duct taped a metal bit to the boot and I could shift the cx up and down without too much drama. It will take some practice to get it smooth and fast but I can fucking shift so yeehaw!
