I have some blue ink/dye for actual painting minitures but if you put it on with a brush and wipe it off it highlights cracks pretty good. None of the welds showed any, and the fact that the bottom triple and stem are still straight and true gives me enough confidence to use my GL1000 frame.

So I did some more last night. noticed the rad was slightly dented so pulled it and going to use the 1100 rad. I cleaned more hair and deer fat out of more places. Ordered up the below list of shit I will need I'll post pics of it when it all starts arriving.

LED Blinkers
headlight and ears (1100 has fairing and light won't come out)
digital tach speedo ebay special
braided lines for the front and rear brakes
front wheel bearings cause I am going to paint the 1100 wheel and will pull the old bearings
All balls steering bearings, I have yet to pull the 1100 front end and want it right.
New bars
new grips
CBR Nissen front brake Master supposed to be a big upgrade to the original

That list blew my wad for the next little while. Still need paint, fluids, leather for the seat, tail light......and more I am sure.

This is the tach speedo deal: I hope it is decent quality because I am not using the gigantic Honda gauges from the 1100

So I started pulling parts off the 1980 1100 and some will work some won't. I will see what I can do.  Just realized the 1100 has an 18" wheel so my 19" tire won't fit.  So I will have to get a new 18" tire.

Ha yep.  There is a spitfire on the rim which is a good tire, not sure of age if not too old I could run it.
