Yamaha 650 street tracker
« on: Aug 13, 2016, 15:39:25 »
Just thought I'd share this. Just got this bike on the road for a good friend who has been working on it for the last couple of years. The engine was an "unknown" as it was supposedly done by Hieden Tuning about 20 years ago and never run. Well, holy shit, DOES IT EVER RUN! I have worked on and owned Yamaha's famous 650 twins for the past 33 years or so and have never ridden one with this much raw power. A gorgeous machine and what a blast to ride!

The mufflers...Jemco...nice looking bit of kit, but they aren't my favorite part of the machine. Would have been better coming out the left side...with these ones you have to remove them just to check the oil and a small heat shield where the right thigh touches it would have been a nice addition too.
