"Pizza Cutter" the Gilera 106Speciale Strada
« on: Sep 17, 2016, 09:03:35 »
This just happened...
I just bought this. Wanted a single cylinder. Was looking at Honda GB250s. Then I saw this and fell madly in love with it.
That engine I could just gaze at all day long.

1967 GILERA 106SS. Italian power house all 100cc of 4 strokeness.

It runs very well I am told. I should have it int e next week or so.

Monday next week the powerhouse of a motorcycle that is the Gilera will arrive. Is it Monday yet?
It now has a name. "Pistoncino" which is Italian for little piston. Well when you displace 106cc.

Even if you only put a pair of the period 'pre - ace' handlebars on it and left the rest alone it would still look cool as ten bears.

I will either be fitting Ace bars or M Bars like this example.
