Looks great.

As for paint I recon either a metallic gun metal grey or a Slate grey.
I'm not sure, but don't ask Brodie.

Way to many build and half done projects to list here.

I like the yellow and black.
I love bright bold colors on bikes.

Hey everyone I don’t suppose anyone knows the Yamaha yellow colour code for this yellow paint? I can only assume this is a Yamaha colour.

Any help would be great!

Nice, very glossy.

No plans for decals?

yes, just going through some decal ideas at the moment, i want to do original xt500 decals, i think. but i dont want the red to clash with the yellow. so i might leave the red out.

Red can work well with yellow - try a few samples ...

I think the black and white speed block pattern looks good on the yellow. I don't think red would look good on the yellow, it might look too much like a hot dog stand. But you never, it might work out.

Hahah, a hot dog! Definitely don’t want that, I have mocked up a decal I think will work, I wanted to keep the original xt500 decal on the tank. Rather than have a random DT decal on an XT it felt weird. The new decal should arrive soon, I will post as soon as it arrives!
Then the long build journey will be over! Only a few posts left!
