More tank work. Once the halves were welded together a flange was turned by hand around the bottom edge to add strength to the entire shell.

Tank continued...

Next I got the fuel bung in and the majority of the underside/tunnel fitted. I wanted to get the seat pan, tank mounts, and a few other parts positioned and clearances set before welding in the tunnel. So it was dry fitted and set aside.

The tank sheíll with a quick polish to get a good look at the contours/transitions. Because the tanks will be painted this is as far as Iíll go with the metal finishing process. Just a coat of primer will fill any remaining hammer marks.

Bro I am right there w you.  Sure I enjoy going for a ride.  However, I leap out of bed in the mornings if thereís work to be done.
