Tools of the trade

The mix adjusters were set twixed 1-3/4 and 2-1/2 turns from bottom.  Still w factory plastic caps.   8)

Thank goodness.  Not too bad at all.

W heat gun and penetrant they came apart really nice.

Brass, tops and bowls soaking in Chem dip, stirring around a few times to help remove trapped air.

Bodies in Heated Ultrasonic w Pinesol, water rinse, compressed air, carb cleaner, compressed air then penetrant.

Just an fyi if you really feel frisky:

There are throttle shaft seals...

On 1 and 4, they are felt.  2 and 3 are rubber.

The choke also has felt seals.

Im not going that deep...yet.  Hopefully the sonic wonder has done its job.

Rinsed-dried-rinsed-dried-oiled.

All the brass is gonna soak while I have lunch and a nap.   8)

Brass and Bowls came out of the chem dip as good as I knew it would.

So just for interest, finishing them off in the ultrasonic machine.

Curious to see how it handles the stuck on bits of gaskets.

Mines 15 liter $150.00 on ebay.  And they got a 22 ltr for $210.00

It works awesome, Temp heats up to 175F / 80C if you preheat.

Mine hit 122F in the 30 minutes it ran.
