Two stroke pipe
« on: Sep 02, 2018, 02:36:43 »
I built this pipe a little while ago, anyone like to hazard a guess as to what it's for?

Please be for your mower or brush cutter.
I'm not sure, but don't ask Brodie.

Both very close. It's a line trimmer motor mounted up in a YZ465 Margarita Mixer - all good fun.

So cool. I love expansion chambers for tiny engines. Is it a 30cc?

I'll post one up soon.

I think it's 23cc's. I've built quite a few different ones and I get the motors from the local tip, usually they just need a plug or the wasp nests cleaned out of the exhaust pipe to get them running.

I'm a big fan of both two-strokes and Margaritas, but I'm dubious about the merits of combining them!

Haha, all good, two strokes and margaritas together are perfect, as long as you're not riding the two stroke!!

I've built a few others, a Maico scrambler replica, a little roadracer that I made for Troy Corser (two times world superbike champion), a coca cola one for a collector mate and, my favourite, a speedway one. I make all the bits for them at home, and really enjoy doing it as each one is quite unique. The tanks are easy to make because they are so small, as are the pipes. On the speedway one I also made the clutch lever, the handlebars and the throttle, in addition to the tank and pipe.

I hope everyone is OK with this, as they're not bikes and certainly won't do the ton..

I took a video of my wife making a "brew". Had a lot of trouble loading it up here so I put it on youtube:
