Post a pic of something you made!
« on: Oct 11, 2018, 10:06:22 »
DTT members come up with a lot of cool stuff, but itís easy to miss combing through all the build threads.

Post a pic of something youíve made that youíre proud of, or just like. Doesnít matter if youíre a beginner or seasoned fabricator. Inspire someone else.

I've got a few things I'll toss up.
1st is velocity stacks that mount actual air filters.
2nd is hydraulic clutch slave for an xs650
3rd is hub/rotor adapter to use a cb550 hub and ducati rotor with a zx6 big piston fork front end
And last is a tube bender using prints from this site http://chopperhandbook.com/bender.htm

I did use a waterjet for part of the tube bender, and a cnc lathe for the velocity stacks.  But the others were done on an old atlas lathe and a manual mill.

I like this a lot, but for the sake of thread redundancy, SONIC. started a thread with much the same criteria a while back.

I don't mind another thread, especially since the traffic can only do the site good.  I didn't build any of this stuff this week.  This week, I am fighting off a hurricane turned tropical storm.

A couple of tail lights...

A hand-stitched seat...

fair enough, ill join too then. These are all over the past couple years. My projects seem to be a litte heavy built due to my profession as a heavy structural fabricator and welder lol

Decided to build up a wheel truing stand out of extra material I had laying around. I had to buy a chunk of all thread, but still the cost was less than the harbor freight unit. She is pretty rigid lol.

Built this table my old southbend lathe, belt sander and drill press. Built from scrap steel laying around and a butcher block maple bench top saved from the dumpster. A little sanding and urethane and it turned out pretty nice.

I also built up a quick and jakey hammock stand that fits in the reciever hitch on the silver-ay-do.

Thanks man, I was happy to be able to buy it. After a cleanup and rebuilt, if you do everything right, it'll still hold a half thou over a 4" long cut on the o.d.

I can't complain a lick about that

Yeah, I thought it would be cool to start it up again without any timeline. I think it allows people to dig up older pics to showcase things theyíre proud of.

Nice work!

Nice projects. Nothing wrong with heavy in those areas!
