Heaviest bikes with monoshocks?
« on: Jan 11, 2019, 13:37:55 »
Fixin to start a new project bike for myself soon. I like doing monoshock conversions, and this bike is gonna be a heavy one. Im just wondering what big bikes out there have monoshocks that I could potentially buy a used shock off of.

Biggest one I can think of is the GL1800 goldwing. But Id like to use something better suited for about 2300cc \_(ツ)_/

Whats out there?

Victory Vision, 900lb bike uses a single air shock.
Plus a load capacity of around 500lbs.

05 Victory Hammer(110hp 115tq @ the wheel)

73 Honda Cl350(Haven't decided what to do with it) SOLD

75 Suzuki GT380

Too much of everything is just enough.

You cannot consider the spring rate / dampening in isolation. It depends entirely upon the mounting and leverage. There's plenty of info out there.
