Name that sound
« on: Feb 06, 2019, 20:57:13 »
Sounds to me like it does when I leave my foot on the Kickstarter after it kicks over.

And ideas of where to start looking before I just go figure it out on my own?

Iíve got the Honda service manual. Just to help anyone who might want to know where I am with this machine. Reading the Instructions at least.

If you see me f**cking up it's because I have no idea what I'm doing. You can either tell me I'm fucking up or watch me find out on my own. Both are appreciated.

Which part of the engine is it coming from?  It sounds like a loose rocker where the tappet has completely loosened up.

Maybe. I was thinking something valve related when I first heard it.

Iíd be thrilled if this wasnít the moment I had to split the cases.

Now that you mention it, I think Iíve heard this sound before and just had to tighten the rocker axle/pivot thing feon the outside of the valve cover.

I should look at the part for wear it if itís worked itís way loose again.
