I put in an electronic flasher to replace the old mechanical unit on my GL1000 (direct swap-out), and it operates my mixed LED/incandescent signals just fine. Picked up the electronic flasher at NAPA. I also have a heavy duty electronic flasher on the S10 that I pull the trailer with. The signals flash the same with the new "upgrade" Harbor Freight LED flashers as they did with the old incadescent trailer bulbs, or no trailer at all.

I tend to move fast and like to resolve issues super quick. I went ahead and got these plug and play incandescent lights:

I just read its not a good idea to have them on the same circuit. Anyway, Ive abandoned the idea and will just shorten the stock OEM stems

your wiring diagram is correct. that flasher has an electric timer inside and flashes independent of load. it is a good idea to have them on the same circuit because they lessen the load and take the stress off the electrical system at idle. trust a moto mechanic who has ridden mixed led's and incandescant for years. the guys on this forum are sharp,

The bulbs I got are 12V halogen so it was pretty much plug and play and not mixed LED/Incandescent.

I put the Fender Eliminator on today. Here are pics and video:
