SL175 Suspension
« on: Mar 15, 2019, 17:14:54 »
Hey all,

Rebuilding ish an SL175 for forest road use while on camping/overland trips. Understanding it'll never be a modern dirt bike... Would love to upgrade the suspension a bit (while keeping a stockish appearance).

Forks: None of the interchange info I can find covers the SL175. Anyone know if it's the same as the CB/CL? Could also just service the factory forks, perhaps stiffer springs are available?

Shocks: They're eye to clevis, and I can't for the life of me find a decent shock with a clevis mount. Do people generally convert to eye mount (cut/weld on new mount), or is there a source I'm not finding?

Would love a mild upgrade to both for <$500... Maybe that's a pipe dream?
