I'm keeping all mine (at least I'm saying that now).  It's a nice variety:

BMW R75 stock for day to day and touring
XS650 Cafe for shits and giggles
CA95 for the vintage appeal and a good little city runabout not worth a bunch of money

I really like the 1950's era bikes.  Expensive to buy and restore though.

Gotta read up on the Benly branded Honda's - there were some nice lookin' bikes.

That's a nice 12 step program there brother  ;D You may have missed the all important "explain to my wife why the tiny car just doesn't fit in the garage anymore"... recomend full gear for that step... and flowers... good ones not grocery store ones ;)

Funny... I was just looking at that listing this past weekend (it showed up on the Winnipeg Kijiji) and thought about e-mailing it to you... guess I didn't have to ;)

Sorry to mislead... sarcasm is so hard to type :)

He'll never finish... it's becoming a bit of an urban legend... Tim's mythical XS650 Manx  :D

Some say that when you walk down his alley you can just make out the whisper of polishing eminating from his garage... but when you look... there's no one there  :o

That was funny! And what I was hinting at when Tim one-upped me with the gift to the daughter.

Regardless, this is going to be a fun build to follow...

Tim, I saw in the thread about the Chatham Swapmeet that you are looking for CA95 petcock.  I have a tank with petcock in storage but want to sell them as a "grouping".
$35.00 should do it.
Let me know if you are interested - I have to get it out of storage to check on the petcock function -  you will probably need a petcock repair kit .
If you need other miscellaneous parts, give me a call and I'll check if I have them.
Regards,
Pat Cowan,

Pat - 100% totally committed - consider the tank sold, and let me know what else you might have - chances are I'll buy it all.  Ive got a repair kit already on order from eBay.

Will drop you a line asap and will come get the stuff at your convenience.  Thanks!

So yesterday, with the help of my good friend Dave (the guy I rode to Deals Gap with last fall) I picked up the bike from Bill and Ron.  Nice little bike - just small enough!

This is Bill, the previous owner demonstrating the proper riding position and attitude for 150cc bikes ;)

The bike stuffed into Dave's KIA.  Japanese bike shoved into a Korean SUV.

And at its new home in my garage.  Ready for the beginning of some fiddling.  A few broken wires, bent handlebars, missing brake lever etc. etc.  All good fun.

Thanks for the heads up Tim - the bike looks really good.  I would source the perches and levers from JC whitney.   I used them for both my Superhawk and my Dream projects and they worked out great.

Have fun and get your daughter out there to help!

It's pretty good, and I'm getting hooked up with some spare bits from Pat this weekend (tank, petcock, wheels, maybe mufflers).

The front fender is a little banged up, but with some love-taps it will be fine for now.  I'll send it in for powdercoating with the rest, so it won't cost me anything to have this one done up in black, and then if I find a better one in the future I can always get it done.  The powdercoater I use is always doing gloss black so it's cheap to do.  Probably will cost $200 or so to have everything I want done.

Need to find a 6v battery charger asap. and the tires.  Any suggestions on whitewalls?  I'm looking at the Firestones from Coker Tire, but getting them up here is expensive.  Will end up costing me almost $400 CAD for 2 tires, which is NUTS.  The black walls are a ton cheaper - would be under $200 landed, but the wife wants white walls.
