    '78 CB750 field coil testing/maybe short

Yep, I have gone through and check ever part of the bike. I am positive that the problem is with the coil

    '78 CB750 field coil testing/maybe short

I am having trouble figure out what my problem is with my CB750 project. When I try to turn the power on it all of the electronics flicker and won't stay on. I have narrowed the problem down to the field coil, but I'm still confused. When I test the field coil my meter is showing 7.4 ohms. That...

Where can I find a valve shim kit for this '80 CB750 I am working on? I am having trouble finding a shim kit with a large enough OD.

    Texas license plate laws

Anybody know what the law says about license plate placement on motorcycles in Texas? I figured I'd check before I take the time to make a mount for my CB750. Would I be able to get away with having the plate about like this? The rear of the frame is going to be bent up a bit further than it is...

Can't get pressure in '83 V45 Magna hydraulic clutch

Finally got it to build some pressure in the line. I think it ultimately may have come down to incorrect routing that built some high points that were trapping air. Oops [emoji5]️. Thank you everyone for the help!

Can't get pressure in '83 V45 Magna hydraulic clutch

I am still not having any luck at getting pressure in my clutch line. I've now rebuilt the master, just in case, and still can't find anything wrong with my lines. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Can't get pressure in '83 V45 Magna hydraulic clutch

This is my first try with bleeding a hydraulic clutch, but I have ridden a few bikes that had a hydraulic clutch. There was much more resistance in this clutch before I emptied the system and took the slave off to replace it. Now there is no resistance other than the spring in the MC. If I take...

Can't get pressure in '83 V45 Magna hydraulic clutch

I tried moving the MC to eliminate the high point at the banjo bolt. That didn't work. Next I tried pinching the line and bleeding the banjo bolt like Redliner recommended. That didn't do it either. I still can't get any pressure in the line even though there isn't any more air coming from the...

Can't get pressure in '83 V45 Magna hydraulic clutch

Ok. I'll try that in a little bit and see if it works

Can't get pressure in '83 V45 Magna hydraulic clutch

I thought that may be happening with the way that mc is placed. Did you permanently reposition the MC or just for bleeding the system.

Can't get pressure in '83 V45 Magna hydraulic clutch

I have an '83 Magna that I am trying to get back on the road that is giving me nothing but frustration. I was having issues with the clutch slipping. After going though the system it was pretty clear that the slave cylinder was sticking, so I got a new one. I tried throwing everything back...

CB750 Late start, but here we go...

Here is what it started as... First thing I did to start the build was pull the engine and rebuild. Most of the damage from the wreck was to the crank case and the fins on the cylinder head. Here are the pictures I have of the suspension mount. I have added a part between the two tabs to...

CB750 Late start, but here we go...

So I'm terrible with keeping up with things on here, but I'm decided I'll start a build thread for my CB750 even though I'm actually almost done with it. I've taken pictures the whole time, but just never got around to starting a build thread. Before anyone says it, I know it looks somewhat...
