    What's up with this piston?

No, I did not tear down my engine to clean it. Tore it down because it needs new valve stem seals and a few other gaskets, and figured I would go ahead and take the opportunity to give everything a good looking at. Cleaning off the piston was just to inspect it for anything odd (like...

    What's up with this piston?

Hey guys, I'm in the process of tearing my engine down; took off the #1 piston to clean it up (all 4 have apretty good layer of carbon buildup), and after I got the carbon cleaned off the top I found what's in the picture. Both sides of the piston between the valve reliefs and the edge are like...

    Take 2: CB750K2 Steampunk(ish) Bobber Thing

Re: Take 2: CB750K2 Steampunk Bobber Thing Sweet mother of God, what is up with all of the "no, don't destroy that precious SOHC 750 angel/holy grail/gift from the heavens"? Those SOHC4 boys are a bit touched in the head... As for the question of functionality, that's purely relative. A brand...

    compressor map, couple of questions

So, after looking and looking and looking...and looking for any sort of performance parts for my 83 Nighthawk CB650SC (inventive screen name, I know), I've come to the conclusion that they just don't make them, at least, not anymore... That brings me to my current dilemma, having read the post...

    '83 650 Nighthawk timing...

From my understanding, it isn't possible to adjust ignition timing at all with the stock setup. My questionis, is there any way to make it adjustable? Modifying the factory setup, an aftermarket solution, a factory swap, anything? Also, does anyone make anything performance-minded for this...

80 cb750 buildup with nitrous -crankcase breather opinions...

Would you be able to mount the 'noids of the frame between the carbs, maybe? You might be able to run a line from the breather nipple you're wanting to eliminate to a remote location; or over to the other one and tee into it, maybe? Not sure how well that'd work, just bouncing ideas...if you...

    New Guy from NC foothills

Hey y'all, glad I found this site ;D. Born and raised in NC, then moved to Kansas for a few years, where I caught the 2 wheel bug. Bought a Nighthawk, and after getting some experience, and being back in NC, I'm ready to make a project out of it. The knowledge here is going to help me quite a...
