    Started a webcomic

Been a comics fan my entire life, always fancied the idea of one day writing/drawing one of my own. After attending a convention in Kansas City last month, I found the inspiration I needed and launched a web comic a few weeks back. Doing this entirely on my own, even had to learn some basic...

Post a pic of your latest purchase

Puig Stream windshield mounted up on the ER6n. Combined with the hand guards makes a 35 degree highway commute downright pleasant!

Picked up these MSR hand guards for the ER6n, wanting to do more of my commute on the bike and these sub 40 degree mornings were killing my hands even through good cold weather gloves. Also ordered a Puig Stream screen for it, will post a pic of that installed once it gets in.

My daily ride - Lets see yours

Here's mine. 2009 Kawasaki ER6n bought new in early 2010. Looked at this and the Gladius, decided I liked the wacky headlight on this better than the overall styling of the Gladius.

    Helmets: Black or Bold

I've got an Icon matte black at the moment. Love the helmet and the look, but wish I'd have gone for a different color. This summer was brutal hot in the Midwest, and sitting at stop lights cooked the dome something fierce.

Ever get the itch for a "modern" bike?

I just found this thread, and without time to read all 20 pages (kids chatting in my ear at the moment) I will say that I LOVE my 09 ER6n. I have a set of First Gear soft bags that need no hardware to mount up, front strap under the seat, rear strap over the seat and they sit perfect on the...

    Had a bird strike yesterday.

I had a pheasant fly up out of the ditch into my shin once back when I was riding a 94 FZR600R. Was going somewhere in the neighborhood of 120 and the impact knocked me over into the oncoming lane (thank God it was empty!). The bird hit more on my side plastic than my leg, but still left a...

    Butt pucker moment

I realized that as soon as my foot made contact with her car. One of those few moments in life that I reacted without thinking it through because I was just that disgusted/pissed off that I almost got turned to squish so this obese cow could enjoy her chocolate...

    Butt pucker moment

My most recent pucker moment came riding down a busy 4 lane city street with fairly heavy traffic. Had a median on my left, traffic on all 3 other sides, and the 400 lb woman next to me in her cage was too busy trying to lick the melted chocolate off the Reese's peanut butter cup wrapper to pay...

"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

I teach middle school in a highly at risk community, with a free and reduced lunch population of nearly 60% and rising every year. The most frustrating thing that I deal with on a daily basis is watching my kids come through my classroom with this very attitude. "THEY are trying to keep us...

    Doing the ton

There's something about hitting the ton on a vintage bike that's just 100x more exhilarating than doing it on a modern bike. My daily rider is a 09 Kawi ER6n, that will cruise at 100+ without feeling like anything over 75, the thrill just isn't the same as when you wrap a vintage air cooled...

    the zombie apocalypse thread...

Make sure the bike is at minimum dual sport capable. You will certainly need to leave an ideal street surface when evading/fleeing from the zombie throngs. I would think a 4 stroke would be more ideal as well so you don't have to worry about sourcing 2 cycle oil as well as fuel (which will...
