Wow... this is an old thread that I didnt see! ... sorry... Yes... This is a custom seat built specifically for this bike. You can tell how the seat meets up to the tank and blends itself into the tank.

Finished my seat and tank....
Gotta do a lot of cleanup....motor paint...frame paint.... and add a mini speedo and signals.
Did or didnt? If you didnt get any sparks... that means that your main ground does not have a good connection. Follow the ground from your battery to where it connects to the frame.... Check and clean that connection at the frame.
Yep... check your ground first.... When you try to jump the solenoid... does it spark? If it shoots some sparks out and you still get no movement from the starter than thats most likely the culprit. You can pull your starter and hook it up directly to a battery to see if it spins.
Thanks.
Yes... I was going to mount a mini speedo but I changed my mind and I am fabbing up a bracket to use the original gauges both speedo and tach. it will lower it quite a bit from stock to keep the look low profile
Ask and you shall receive :) just snapped this pic with the KZ650 seat on my 70 cb450. If you remove the seat latch where the back oif the tank mounts....it will bring the seat down about an inch. The first pic shows the regular seat....the other pics shows where I would trim it for this bike...
just finished with 4 coats of PPG BMW Black. I'm going to unmask the tank and shoot about 4 or 5 coats of PPG clear. Hopefully it will be dry enough to pit it back on the bike late this afternoon to get a better idea on what its going to look like
