Hi jag767,
The bike looks a beauty and that engine looks pornilicious.
My honest opinion, the engine head seems hidden under the tank what is in my opinion a shame because it is a really beautiful engine.
Try to lift the tank a little bite or find a tank that wont go down so much on the spine...
How have you managed to insert the right Brook grip into the throttle tube.
The grip is 22mm as the clip-on right?
The throttle tube should be around 24.5mm or 25mm.
You mean that with the vibration of the bike the connection to ground may be intermittent and therefore causing the bulb to blow?
I dont know if that is enough to blow the bulb, but Ok i'll have to check that possibility.
thanks
yes, originally its 6v however i modified it to 12v.
All the other lights work just fine, blinkers, stop, medium and maximums in the front, tacho and speedo lights, all works except for the taillight that burns every time i go out for a run.
Hi all,
My CB125 café is having a small electrical issue, it burns tail lights like a motherfuc.... and i just dont know what is causing this.
The tail light has stop and presence in the same housing but with diferent bulbs and althought the stop light is working fine the presence light burns...
Yes, no problem.
The bike is still doing her first km's since the engine was rebuilt, but untill now there seems to be no issues with the charging system.
Why?
Hi all,
There's been a long time since i don't update this topic of my little cafe racer.
So, here's the update. The bike is 99% finished.
I'm just trying to fit in some brooks grips and give a final refurbish to the front forks, as one of them has some rust which will eventually screw with...
So I decided to do the electrical part myself and it was very tricky(its my first).
After a lot of head bangging, specially with the blinkers everything is working just fine.
Electrical things still left to test is the charging system because i haven't started the bike for the first time...
Sonrier,
I made the resistence test you sugested to the switch, and its working just fine.
So after the test i could only see one problem, the negative wire. By some reason that i dont know(maybe you can explain it to me) i cannot connect the negative wires from the 4 blinkers the same...
I belive i understod the idea. You want me to test is if the switch is connecting the wires correctly inside the switch, right?
Unfortunatly at the moment i'm working away from home and i can only do this test next weekend.
Anyway thanks for the help Sonreir, next weekend i'll give you news...
I am sorry Sonreir, but i'm new to this.
I have a multimeter but i only know how to mesure volts and amps, how do i mesure the resistence?
when you say disconnect the wires, you mean disconnect them from the all turn lights or from the switch?
