Won't that make the bearing be 1mm proud of where it's supposed to sit? I was thinking an inner spacer, 42 by 26 (so it won't ever touch the axle) by 1mm, so the bearing would be spot on. Going 1mm thicker on the spacer would be the same using a 14mm bearing, that may easier to locate... Thank...

Ooops, it's42, not 43, whoops. If I found a 42 by 25 by 12, could I use a 1mm space bearing "spacer"?

The frame was modified to weld on a 'perch', onto which the seat is mounted using a single bolt from the top. Not the most elegant solution, but it works! You can see the top of the bolt in the photo you posted. That is what the 'perch' looks like .
