I have a 1978 kawasaki kl 250. Can,t get it to run right. When i start it and it is at idle it runs alright but soon as i give it throttle it won,t return to idle without adjusting the idle screw out to the point where it stalls.screw it back in and it starts and idles again but does the same...
Very nice to see.Kawasakis don't seem to be the more popular bikes to do.I am doing a 78 kl 250.Swapped out the front end for a 87 tw 200 so i could get a more balanced look.redid triple trees and she came out pretty good so far.pics on here under kl 250 progress.can't wait to see this done...
Taking a kawasaki kl250.1978.from an enduro to more street purpose but still retaining trail capabilities.A tw 200 front wheel is good size and width.yamaha to kawasaki swap?
New here guess I don't,t know exactly where it belongs.rebuilding and modifying a kl 250 from enduro to more of a street machine.where would you suggest?
I have noticed on some custom bikes that they change front rim and tire sizes say from 21 to 18 inch to balance out the look of the bike.Want to hear from anyone out there doing this.Is it common to do this.

First one.Got A kawasaki 1978 kl 250 in rough shape.not running but has good compression and spark.Have it stripped to frame now and ordered parts from dcc.just took in for stripping and priming then going to start piecing together. Hope to have done for nice weather.We will see.saw picture of...
Hi there.New to the Site.Bike is looking good.Just started my first build too.How do you get the grime and aluminum oxidation off the engine.my engine looks about the same as yours.do you plan to paint whole engine.Look forward to seeing bike progress.will try and get some pics of mine up.thanks Bob
