    Suzuki GSX quick build!

Inspiring! I echo the sentiments of others that this build has made me feel like a complete slacker. This is a truly inspired build. The 60s Suzuki badges on the space age (for the time) Hans Muth inspired tank should not work....but it does. Everything you have done so far is purposeful and...

    1974 kz400 seat/tire conundrum

Great thread. I have an SR250 waiting in the wings. That glass pan is a good option but I would need a hoop. I'll let the new owner make the final tail end decisions. Until then, this will have to do.

    1974 kz400 seat/tire conundrum

Thanks for the responses. Think we got the issue sussed. While not the most elegant solution, we were able to gain the needed inches without viagra. The gap between frame rail and tire exists but isn't a deal breaker.

    1974 kz400 seat/tire conundrum

I am currently finishing up a kz400 cafe project and have come to the sad realization that the little Chinese cafe seat I got may not work. The PO had hacked the rear frame, making this a cafe, not a resto, project. The original seat pan bottom molding had a curvature that allowed for the up...

    1977 CB550K Cafe Build

These early Honda CBs are renowned for operating far more efficiently with the stock airbox. I have had 3 CB750s and 3 CB550s and I personally found that to be true. Emgo pods are notoriously poorly designed for most applications. Often small air orifices are covered resulting in an overly...

    1977 CB550K Cafe Build

As a guy that grew up riding and loving air cooled UJMs (I'll be 55 this year) and along with a fellow gearhead restore larger displacement bikes (Z1, GS1100e, GS1000e, CB750 etc.) for fun an meager profit, I generally fall on the side of restoration over hacking them up. That being said, the...
