who do you use for insurance?

I've got Esurance and my yearly is ~$1k for the 919. It was closer to $700 for my 81 CB900 if I remember correctly. (CA Bay Area) I've got comprehensive and collision after my SV1k got stolen w/ liability only and I never got a penny back. I remember Esurance being the cheapest major company...

    Is this Toast?

Whoops, my bad. Wrote that post late, it was the cylinders not the pistons. Doh! Thanks for the info though, I had no idea that was the case with pistons.

    Is this Toast?

Nope, plugs are out. That said, finger over the hole does indicate good compression. I also pulled the clutch basket to confirm it’s not something in the transmission.

    Is this Toast?

Ended up ordering the proper chain and tensioner. Motor is together, but came across an issue when trying to set ignition timing. The engine is not smooth to turn over. There are points where it’ll jump forward, one of which is right around the LF/LT marks which is making timing it a pain. Any...

    Is this Toast?

Mega thread revival… got another project so the 350 stalled out. Trying to wrap up the engine build now and keep running in to hurdles. Machine shop said pistons were out of round and required going to +1mm, got everything back and went to assemble last night. Noticed my cam chain tensioner does...

I want to indoctrinate my friends and family...

One of my high school teachers up in Bellingham rode a 70cc scooter (don't remember exactly what) for years without a license and never got a second look from cops. Probably not the best advice, but maybe worth getting a CT70/90 for them to try out a few times without a license, and if it...

Understood, wasn't expecting international to be cheap. I'll shoot you a message to get some more info, this still seems cheaper than getting my cam hard faced and re-ground. Thanks!

    WTB CB350 Fat Cam

Hey all, might be a longshot but I'm looking for a CB350 Fat Cam. Working on my engine rebuild and found pitting on my cam, rockers look good though. Figured I'd check to see if anybody has one before sending mine off to Web to be reground for $$$. Thanks!

    CB350 Shifter Assembly

Yup, hard to tell on the fiche. The whole thing is a bummer because I would be fine if I didn’t lose the collar (13) through 6 moves while having the engine torn apart [emoji2369]

    CB350 Shifter Assembly

Yup, 15 has a chamfer to accept a flat head bolt on the opposite side.

    CB350 Shifter Assembly

Hello everyone. Working on putting together my CB350 engine and ran in to issues putting together the shifter. I have this collar that seems too big to fit in the fork, even though I bought the listed part number. I assume it’s supposed to fit in the fork but figured I’d check before filing it...

Post a pic of your latest purchase

Traded the 82 900F for its 23 year newer sibling. Sad to see the 900 go but needed something better to commute with and can’t justify having the 900 as a project alongside my Toyota rust bucket that’s taking up my garage.

    cheap Chinese gas tanks

I bought one of these from 4into1 for my CB125, had to mod the rear mount to work with my rubber tank mount. The rubber pucks for the front mount on my factory tank are too big for this tank, what did you guys use? Looks like I need ~7/8" OD to fit the tank, then I'll make a couple tabs that...

    CB125S "Susie" Take Two

It runs!!! Spent a day working on it, found out the pin for the mechanical advancer for the timing managed to fall out of the cam so the advancer was free spinning, put that back in, re-set the point gap, timing, and valve timing then just kicked for hours tweaking the carb until it ran and...
