By all means, suggest away :D Can never have enough inspiration or help. I've had a read and will take what I need (or think I need :) ) onboard. Not sure where it will end up :o Thanks for the link Resin. I have some foam and fibreglass, and will take lots of pics.

Last calls re. the seat design/style. Tomorrow is the day i'll start hacking into some foam and shaping it up. All ideas are still welcome, thanks for the help so far.

    79' CB750K Rebirth

I had the same issue, trying the put the frame back over the engine to bolt in by myself. Not Fun! After twisting, pulling and swearing at the thing for 15mins I had a quick rest, tried again and in 2 secs it slipped on easily (also trying not to take paint off). Moral of the story: There must...

Re: 72' Suzuki GT380 (She Lives!!!)

Re: 72' Suzuki GT380 first time build (DImyself fiberglass seat) Just read through your thread (yes, how dedicated of me to say I've read through a whole 4 pages ;D ). Am very interested to find out how it progresses and turns out. I particularly like what you did for a rear guard, may steal...

    81 CB750K Cafe Build

Dang! I pulled the brakes apart from my 81 CB750 and the pistons look much worse than yours, looks like I'm off to scour the net as well :P If I find any decent deals I'll let you know, and vice versa maybe? ::) What diameter pistons have you got? I'm pretty sure I'll have to find all...

Thanks for the votes. I liked the third one the best as well, that said do you think I've stopped drawing pictures and playing with paint? ??? Below are a couple more concepts. The first is a further developed version of the third concept above, and the others more seat ideas. Im still...

As you may be able to guess I'm not a fan of convex edges, that said I think the last concept could be ok tweaked and have a logo in the circle. A 'do the ton' sticker is the right shape..... I like the earlier versions better I think, and would be very happy to see any other ideas :D

    Wire frame Glass seat

Having a look through the site at present, giving me all sorts of ideas (aka: TROUBLE I shouldn't get myself in to ;)). I could see someone doing a tank like that but strip planking it with some nice wood, sanding it to bring out a nice grain, prior to sealing with a clear coat. Wouldn't be a...

Been photochopping a bit more (see below). Thanks for the input L4NE4 and the pic, just what I was after. I think Im stuck in a rut re. design, can't look past what I currently see in my mind (does that make sense?). I'm trying to sketch designs following your idea L4NE4, having trouble...

    79' CB750K Rebirth

Great build thread Thirsty 1. I'm in awe at how far you've torn that engine down, needless to say I won't be going that far into mine without major incentive (as I'd never get it back together without a lot of help) :) Looking forward to seeing what you do next, thanks for all the images.

Hi everyone. Im back from holidays and looking to get back into my little project. Got out to it last night for a little while and put a washer under that cam-cap bolt, re-mounted the engine in the frame and had a little photo shoot. Not a lot but I wanted to get that far so I can start...

    81 CB750K Cafe Build

I've heard people refer to them as the worthless child of the 69-78 CB750, with very little historical value, and since the CB900/1100 had the racing not really note worthy :P I dont really care for any lack of historical relavence, just that they keep going for years to come :)

Oh, thanks for the info. Must remember to always flick the stand up from now on (I think I can handle that ;D) And thanks for the washer note, will get one on there before doing everything back up. I'm going on holidays for the next neek or so therefore nothing new for that time. I promise to...

    81 CB750K Cafe Build

I must say I think you've chosen a real nice bike to start your build from, although I may be bias as Im also cafeing a 81 CB750 (F model though) ;D Im a little jealous of your wheels, I think the cafe look is really finished off with spokes. Hope you have a good build, I'll definately be...
