The 750 Zephyr lump is basically a bored out Z650 engine. They should be pretty much bulletproof. The Zephyr runs a multi-link Hyvo camchain which is stronger than the single row ones fitted to the early Z650's (later 650F models also ran a Hyvo). I am not even aware of a single row chain...

Right, I am fortunate enough to have a garage so I never encountered that problem.... I would imagine that it could be a recurring one with motorcycles though depending on where you live.

Classic policies rarely attract NCB, but those that do should issue a statement of such when renewal is due. The NCB can usually be held over for around 12 months on the same class of vehicle.

Just rename the file to have a PDF suffix instead of php. It'll open up OK in Acrobat then ;)

Yeah thanks BC. I really like the look of the Z650 as is, It already owes me more than a small fortune as it has fresh candy red paintwork, a shorter front chrome mudguard, I've removed the rear mudguard and tidied up the rear light area using an Aprilia rear light, fitted a Giuliari seat, V&H...

I am from South Yorks, just Norf of Sheffield. I am currently on with a '77 Z650. (amongst other bikes) It's neither standard nor cafe really at present.... in fact I am still not sure quite where it's gonna go yet - but it is going somewhere ;D

Ebike is also pretty good. I have two classic policies and one for my ZX10R with them, only one of the bikes is standard ....
