teazer, I'm not running a stock head it was just in pic to show how soda cleaned up chambers. I will be running a Wicked Motorsports billet head with interchangable domes. I do need to speak with spec2 on carb related. I'm pretty sure I have an old pair of Garys 30mm VM Mikuni's and want to go...

Just about finished with chassis. The tank, seat pan/tail, lower cowl work body work is done it's straight in primer sealer ready for paint I now just lack front fender. I wanted to keep the USA 85 front fender but since I had to use 86 Euro/Canadian forks to mount 4 pot Triumph brakes without...

    Getting shit powder coated soon

"shit" dosen't PC your gonna have to go conventional paint. I have no idea what kinda primer your gonna have to use i would guess flex type unless its really hard shit and I would have tinted brown it will help top coat coverage . I personally don't think anything on market will hold up well.

Thank you for the pipe ID, I have a sneaking suspicion they will end up over at my brothers place. Although I have modern bike like Ducati 749s and old stock 1976 CB550 super sport, 2001 1200 c sportster I'm a smoker guy from waaaaaay back, so was easy picking screen name ;).

Thanks brother (literally) ;D. I can't wait to see paint either, now if someone would just come up with a killer. Received engine package last pm the crank is very nice with upgraded bearings, welded journals etc. I was thinking last night I have never seen someone jump into smokers so fast...

Your build looks sweet Crazy, got it bookmarked looking forward to following. Your going very up tech on instrumentation lighting etc. only going with a Zeel here, the rest of mine pretty low tech except suspension, not HT but good solid upgrades. I see you scored some 83mm forks great upgrade...

Ok I set taillight back about 1" today. I really cut lens since I didnt want to screw with finished metal work. I did extend the box you can't see that holds the light assembly inside the tail enough to cut and set the lens flush if that makes my boat float. Stopped cutting until I can get to...

Thanks all, one thing I'm learning on this build is NOTHING is final for now. Like the tail light I thought about it and had 10 guys give opinion and thought it was neat tipped and frenched in a bit but that like 100 other things that have been changed already could change tomorrow. I see what...

Looks like very little progress since last post but as many of you that have been down this road know little details you sometimes can't see can take days, weeks, months and you change little things that took a day to build you suddenly decide you don't like. I got Triumph two pot front calipers...

BIG MISTAKE: RD250 Build By A Newbie *Help Me Grow Up!*

If your thinking of going back to autolube pump as some have suggested make sure you have the correct pump. If I'm not mistaken there are differences 250-350 engines.

Getting ready to rebuild engine have one that should be ok but going throught it completely. All electrics etc. are in tank tunnel and seat hump what you see in...

Trying pic first will add text. Now for text, bought bike an 85RZ with a straight titled frame, roller with two complete engines one seized the other good compression. It came with pile's of parts. I decided on the RZ because I like two strokes, this one was inexpensive, straight and a challenge...
