Hey Gordon,
Nice Ride.
Quick question, or maybe not so quick...
What are the realistic Maint/reliability concerns for a modern RE? Are we talking adjustments every 200 miles or new top end every 1000?
There's a Bullet Military on CL that looks pretty freekin sweet if I can come up with...
Can you see all the holes?? If so my last tank I simply patched with JB weld and then Kreemed the inside of the tank. Been that way for almost 10 years now with no problems.
Doesn't everything???
Did you just lower the Forks in the trees? or are they different forks?
Bike looks great, gives me some ideas for my LTD440 which I didn't think was cafeable either.
This little bike looks so sweet. In fact the style of your bike is what I have in mind for my CB750.
I like the look of the smaller headlight better, but the original don't look bad either.
Damn, that's ONLY $25 more a month than I pay for my Blackbird! Of course I do all my biz with one company, but still seems a little steep for a 30 year old 400cc bike.
Re: Project "SLiM"-1974 Honda CB/CL 450 Cafe Racer/Tracker Project Updated 3/10/
Now that you mention it me neither. The battery I was thinking was the big 6v ones you get at a hardware store. If it came from a motorcycle shop it has to be a 12v battery doesn't it?

What kind of shop are you going to?? I would advise keeping your bike as far away as possible. Volts is volts, if you have an item that takes 12v to work properly it needs 12v.
Think of it in plumbing terms...
