When I shortened the springs in the forks both hex bolts stripped on me. Great lol! I was hesitant to drill them since they are oil filled and pressurized. I took them all around town today to several garages. One tried with no joy and the others said they could not help. So I took the plunge...

Did something weird to my hand when pulling the stem through. I heard my hand pop and now my middle finger hurts like heck to bend. Plus I woke up this morning with a bulge next to my middle knuckle l.

So I've got the new tires mounted. I went to fill them and realized I broke a valve stem on the rear. Bought new stems and pushed the tire down took out the broken one no problem. Then like an idiot I dropped the new one in the tire. So I got the spoons back out and pulled one side of the tire...

So after talking to wolfeman28 about doing the upholstery for the seat I went ahead and bought all the materials and made a pan. Then the guy stops responding to texts and won't return calls. Basically screwing me. Thanks a lot Eric, you're a real stand up guy.

    Seat Upholstery

Thanks for completely screwing me over bro. Instead of buying a seat I invested time and money in building one after you agreed to do the upholstery. Then you stopped replying to email and text. Thanks, not a douche move at all.

So that's where I'm at right now. Still lots to do. I did however take the bobber for a spin to pic up a few supplies lol. Now that I figured out how to attach images here it is. Took about 4 - 5 months.

Shortened the springs in the forks. May have an issue that I still need to resolve. Both of the bolts holding the dampening rod stripped. So you can kind of see in the second pic where I shaved the handlebar risers off. I then filled the void with weld and ground down.

New tires and more parts. Still waiting on the new chain and smaller gauges. I went with bridgestone spitfires.

I took the headlight bracket and cut off the turn signals. I cut them shirt enough to fit the clip ons I purchased. I them took a wire wheel to them, sanded, primed and painted.

After lots of fine tuning, cutting, grinding and bending.

Transferred my template to the aluminum. I thought it would be easier to work with than steel but still a pain.
