    72 CB350 For the Daughter

A family after my own heart... my wife has a 74 CB750 and I have a 79. My son goes to school in motorcycle boots and makes us take him on 10mph rides, he's 6. That's a really cool venture, what a daughter. I cannot wait until my son is old enough to help me build his first 360 or 250. If I have...

    Petcock on SOHC CB750, irreplaceable?

I see no way of removing this and if I do, no way of installing the new one. I've consulted the manual which shows a bolt on petcock unlike this. But this is oem so someone may know what to do with this. Inspecting the old petcock, there is no indication of how its fixed, no beads and no bolts...

    Best CB750 aftermarket exhaust???

I absolutely adore the Cycle X sidewinder on my 79. It's a little more than a Mac but well worth it. I have a 74 with an 80's era pipe similar to a Mac, it's less impressive IMO. The sidewinder allows for a jack to get under the bike easily, it looks great and it sounds even better. Cycle X are...

    XV920R - Fat and Low

Re: Low and slow XV920R It's going to be gorgeous. With the modern components, I think the skid plate over the pipe would be a relevant touch. I have frame sliders and lower case crash bars on both of my bikes and people actually comment on them positively all the time. I'm not sure why but...

From 4 to 2, aftermarket carb kits for CB750

There are 2 major kits that I'm aware of to take out the finicky and complex 4 carb system of the CB750 and replace them with 2 simple and reliable Mukini carbs. At $500-$600, they're not quite the inexpensive option (that would be a jet kit from someone like 6 sigma) but if u want to be sure...

Down but not out: my cafe comeback

Hey Tom, small world indeed, I've spotted your 360 half a dozen times in our neighborhood zipping by and occasionally when it's cold out, I can distinguish your specific exhaust note tearing down 86th, Pima or McDonald, I listen to pipes in the distance like bird watchers hear lark songs. It's...

Down but not out: my cafe comeback

You would have to stand in front of the bike to see sense in it. I agree it's not terribly high priority but the thing has a bit of a ragged old hot rod vibe going and using the highest quality, black wrap which is 1 inch not 2 and will wrap tighter, it matches the repeating theme of ribbed...

Possible Ignition Issue: SOHC CB750. Help, wizards?

I'm trying not to give my hopes up but I hope you're correct and once a new cable goes on, it works. If not, I will be able to at least eliminate something. In your opinion, if the problem is not isolated to the cable, what do u think is the next mostly likely option? Sent from my iPhone using...

Possible Ignition Issue: SOHC CB750. Help, wizards?

I'll try to make this brief and skip the incidental details. Basically, my ignition cable #4 was compromised but was still working fine so I took the bike out. 10 mins into the ride, suddenly it began backfiring and running very choppy, very herky jerky. The bike idles just as well as ever which...

Montreal Manchild with an '81 Honda CB750K

You're lucky you even got them out. I couldn't get both bearings replaced at a freakin Honda dealer shop, they didn't have the tool. They were able to change one of them. Does sound like too tight tho in my experience. The other thing and pray it is not the case, could just be defective parts...

Down but not out: my cafe comeback

You should do that when the opportunity arises, girls don't think to want to ride like men do (with a craving) but get into it all the same. My son puts on all my gear and rides his little electric trike, he's crazy about bikes after a trip on the 79.' He's the best but he's usually a bit of a...

Down but not out: my cafe comeback

I was going to do it cyl down one at a time as of course a YouTube video taught me, looked official, it was taking place in a booth at some show but that doesn't make it right. One problem tho, if I wrap from the collector up, how am I going to get the bottoms tucked in on 3 of the pipes? It's a...

Down but not out: my cafe comeback

Yes it sure is refreshingly addictive huh? I know what u feel about regretting not doing it sooner. Although I had done mods before (never a true BUILD before now) that few years off I took, there was a sort of religiously unfulfilled emptiness where my favorite past time had been but I was busy...

    Arizona mates

I'll be on the road in about a week and a half on my 74' CB750, just waiting on an oil filter. I have a 79' CB750 as well but it's a long term project, done in 1-2 months. I have a few friends I ride with but I'm the only cafe. Is there any decent ride you take in your area? I like riding around...
