Here she is so far now. Got the pea shooters on and tuned the carbs a bit more. The weather has been cold and then hot windy back and forth so I cant wait for a stable week. I may make a video of ridding it cause I have a small camera that goes on my helmet!!
Got some "M" bars from Norman Hyde and painted the controls. Also have the rebuilt carbs back on the bike!!! Just wondering what to do with the tank: 1.Leave as is, wet sand and clear. 2. add some stripes or some other design. 3. repaint to silver. ??? Cant make up my mind. :-\
It's closed cell foam. 1 inch thick. It's pretty firm, but I think it will break in a little when its hot out. I got it from a Kayak website for 12 bucks shipped.http://www.austinkayak.com
just type in foam in their search bar cause I dont know the link. They have thinner sheets too!
Well I'm keeping the signals, Just removing the "dummy lights from in between the tach/speedo. The CBs have em on the top triple. But the GS's are just huge and since I'm removing the tach, I got no where to put em.
What do you mean by "Canuck Plumber"? I never had a black and gold bike but I did have a 72 CB500 Silver and black if thats what you meant. Unfortunately I sold it; Fortunately I made a profit!
First mock up with new tail light. I cleaned up and painted the original rear fender satin black. The bars are "euro" that I bought from CRConlinecatalogue. I ended up not liking them and have some Norman hyde "M" bars on the way!
New tires, fork seals and fork paint and polished rear drum. Used engine enamel on the forks
cause last time My CB got some chips after a couple years.
