I'm back into it. My right foot is still sore every night since the get off. But I've pulled the motor and cleaned things up a bit more. Excited to remaiden it soon.

Thanks guys. It was incredibly frustrating. I've never had an accident on the street in over 25 years of riding. Sucks it was a week after it was done and a day before my trip. I have the motogadget and new number plate so I'll start work to get it back on the road.

Yea it pretty much blew ass. I'm past it now. Made time Sunday and just got back to work on it. Pulled the bent rear set and did my best to straighten it out. Replaced the broken master and rashed grips. Repaired the throttle tube. Housing and cable still need replacements. Headlight is still...

Well a couple of updates: I was cut off by a driver making a hard right turn from the left lane, while I was in the right lane. Bike and I took a pretty good hit when I low sided and fell on my right side. Right controls broken bar and fork bent and case is scratched. I missed a trip I was...

Not really thinking about fenders too much. Here's a shot from yesterday after the DGR

Got the idle and jetting pretty much squared away. Handling feels sharp but haven't been able to scrub the tires in and I'm sure I'll need to spend more time dialing in ride height spring rates and dampening. Once nice objective test: I have a stock XS and put the front wheel between my legs...

Thanks guys! I'm still tweaking things. Swapped out the damper for a QA1 and that helped a bunch. Compression and rebound are set in the ball park for the rear end. Clutch and front and rear brakes work well. Working on tuning main jets but have ridden it up and down the street at this point.

Nope. Just new tubes with DlC over the chrome. The thickness is something like 2 microns so it will not have any appreciable effect on fitment into the fork lowers.

Thanks. Those are DLC coated done at a place called Ion Bond.

Got another day in today. Front wheel, caliper, and rotor spacing is squared away. Also made a clutch pushrod to fit the slave cylinder and did more wiring. I have two batteries so it's a few more wires than normal.

Yea man you got it. I share a space with OSYB. And those are stock ish wheels. 18 front 16 rear with some disc adapters.

Amazingly I got all 3 brake lines and the clutch like angled and cut correctly on the first try. I'm sure something else will go wrong soon. But now she's sitting under her own weight. Need to make front axle spacers and install rotors and do some wiring but she's getting closer still.

Happy to say I was able to squeeze the motor in between flying rc airplanes. A couple of buddies came over and that helped a bunch.
